FAQs

Where do you get your products?

We purchase discounted products from major big box retailers. These items are typically overstock, discontinued, or last year’s models that retailers are no longer carrying on their sales floors.

Are purchases tax deductible?

Purchases made through the MGW Outlet are not tax deductible, as you are receiving goods in exchange for payment. However, your purchase directly supports our mission and helps fund life changing work through Minnesota Good Works.

How do I pick up my order?

All items are ready for pickup within 24 hours of payment unless otherwise noted.

Pickup windows

∙ Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00–8:00 pm

∙ Saturday from 9:00 am–12:00 pm

Your receipt will include the pickup address in Coon Rapids. You may arrive at any time during the pickup windows. We ask that all items be picked up within seven days of purchase.

When you arrive, please text 763-400-4410 and a team member will meet you.

 

What to bring

∙ Your receipt (printed or on your smartphone)

∙ A government issued photo ID matching the name on the order

 

Picking up for someone else?If another person will be picking up your order, please list their full name in the comment section at checkout. That person must bring their ID and a copy of the receipt at pickup.

 

 

Flooring orders and delivery

 

All flooring orders have a one week lead time.

 

Once your order is placed and quantities are confirmed, our flooring team will contact you directly to coordinate pickup or delivery.

 

Flooring Delivery details

∙ Delivery is available for orders of 25 or more cases

∙ Free delivery within 15 miles or for approved contractors

∙ Orders delivered beyond 15 miles require a $50 delivery fee, paid at the time of delivery

∙ For delivery rates over 15 miles, please call 763-400-4410.

Am I coming into a store to pick up?

Not at this time. The MGW Outlet currently operates through scheduled pickup windows. With every purchase you make, you are helping move us one step closer to opening a permanent retail location.

How can a non-profit run a retail store?

All proceeds from your life giving purchase go directly toward funding Minnesota Good Works’ Enrichment Program. Through this program, survivors of exploitation and trafficking receive mentorship, care, and practical resources that help them rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

 

The MGW Outlet exists as a sustainable way to fund this work while offering quality products at deeply discounted prices.

Why am I paying tax on my products if you are a non-profit?

The MGW Outlet operates as a retail store and is required to comply with the same sales tax regulations as for profit businesses. Sales tax is collected and remitted in accordance with state law. Paying sales tax ensures we remain compliant and able to continue operating in support of our mission.

Do you offer delivery for non flooring items?

At this time, delivery is only available for qualifying flooring orders. All other items must be picked up during designated pickup windows.

What is your Return/Exchange/Refund Policy?

All sales are final. All items are sold as is and without a warranty of any kind, implied or explicit. Returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted.

We encourage customers to carefully review product details prior to purchase. We cannot accommodate changes of mind, incorrect selections, or issues related to fit, color, or intended use.

Any damage that occurs after an item has left our premises is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

What forms of payment do you accept?

  1. All major credit cards
  2. Pay Pal - Once you select PayPal, then Hit “Review Order” and you can easily checkout using paypal.
  3. Amazon Pay - Amazon Pay is a service that lets you use the payment methods already associated with your Amazon account to make payments for goods or services on third-party websites. To make a payment, you can use any of the payment methods in your Amazon account.
  4. Shop Pay - Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout option offered by Shopify for online shoppers. It allows customers to securely save their shipping and payment information, making the checkout process faster and more convenient. This eliminates the need to re-enter your payment card details for every transaction. Shop Pay Installments is also available for purchases between $50 and $20,000. This is an interest free option when making bi-weekly payments.
  5. Venmo - This will provide you with a QR code to use to pay for your purchase.

What if I want to pay cash?

We do not accept cash payments. Venmo is offered as a cash alternative and is available as a payment option through our Shopify store.

How can I support MGW beyond purchasing products?

In addition to shopping the MGW Outlet, you can support Minnesota Good Works through donations, volunteering, prayer, and sharing our mission with others. Are all of these products new?

Yes. The vast majority of our products are brand new.

In rare cases about 5 percent of our inventory may include customer returns from big box retailers. When this happens, each item is carefully inspected and tested before being offered for sale.

Some items may also have damaged packaging due to shipping, which is why retailers sell them at a discount. The product itself remains new and unused.
